Freycinet National Park is home to dramatic pink granite peaks, secluded bays, white sandy beaches and abundant birdlife and wildlife.

Situated on Tasmania's beautiful east coast, the park occupies most of the Freycinet Peninsula and looks out to the Tasman Sea from the eastern side and back towards the Tasmanian coastline from the west.

Walks:

There are a variety of different walks to take if you want to wander around Freycinet National Park or see Wineglass Bay, always ensure that you have water with you, a lot of the walks do not have water available anywhere.

ISTHMUS TRACK CIRCUIT: is about 9 or 10 kilometers and a 4 to 5 hour walk.

COOKS BEACH: is about a 20 kilometers return walk and takes around 8 hours

PENINSULAR TRACK: is around 30 kilometers and takes a couple of days, you can camp at cooks corner.

SLEEPY BAY: this is a shorter walk around 20 to 30 minutes.

MT AMOS: this walk takes around 3 hours it's a steep walk and difficult at times, I wouldnt try it in wet weather and make sure that you are fit and healthy, have on good shoes, a hat and sunscreen. If you do make the walk you will have gorgeous views over Wineglass bay and the southrn part of the Freycinet Peninsular

CAPE TOURVILLE LIGHTHOUSE: This is a great walk if you dont really want to walk, it is wheelchair friendly and easy access.
